Latest OnePlus 5 Leak Shows Stacked Dual Rear Cameras
The OnePlus 5 appears to include a vertical dual rear camera arrangement with a standard LED flash underneath it. On the front of the device, the top bezel includes a single-lens camera. It is likely that the fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the physical Home button.
The device in these photos is covered in a textured blueish purple clip-on case. The actual device in this image appears to be a glossy black but rumor has it that the OnePlus 5 will be available five different colors. A volume rocker and a power button are on the right side of the device. It is unclear whether or not the OnePlus 5 will include a headphone jack. Some sources claim that the screen is 5.5 inches and incorporates a standard 16:9 aspect ratio, but there is no consensus on the screen resolution.
The OnePlus team recently confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with an Adreno 540 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 3T rang in at $439 USD, therefore it is quite likely that the OnePlus 5 could cost $499 or more when it is announced.
The OnePlus 5 likely earned its name, because the team skipped over the OnePlus 4 in favor of the OnePlus 3T. OnePlus is also originally from China and the number “4” is considered unlucky and homophonous to “death”. OnePlus has stopped producing additional OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices in anticipation of the release of the OnePlus 5.
