Mozilla Announces Firefox 23 Beta with Stronger Security and Sharing Features
These days, it's getting fairly tough to even keep up with the editions of new browsers. Mozilla's Firefox, for example, is already up to v23 in the Beta channel. For those who are fine installing a product that hasn't been fully tested, Firefox 23 (Beta) offers up support for the new scrollbar style in Mac OS X 10.7 and newer; mixed content blocking enabled to protects users from man-in-the-middle attacks and eavesdroppers on HTTPS pages; and an updated logo.
Other new inclusions: "Load images automatically", "Enable JavaScript", and Always show the tab bar" checkboxes removed from preferences; simplified interface for notifications of plugin installation; CSP policies using the standard syntax and semantics will now be enforced. All in all, we're looking at enhanced security features and sharing options, and while the Beta is available now, everyone else should get the stable build in the coming weeks.
