LG's Latest 3D Display Tracks Your Eyeballs
LG's 20-inch DX2000 monitor beams 3D images to your brain without the use of goofy 3D glasses, but it's not exactly like all the other glasses-free 3D displays our there. This one comes with a built-in webcam that follows your eyeballs around, so even if you have a tough time sitting still, or aren't situated in a perfect line of sight, it will still deliver optimal 3D images, or at least that's how it works in theory. In practice, we reckon it's only a matter of time before machines turn against us, and this one in particular seems like it has the potential hypnotize humans and turn us against each other. Or maybe we have overactive imaginations.
Either way, the DX2000 is coming, first in Korea for around $1,200, and we imagine to the rest of the world not long after. Unfortunately, LG hasn't announced a U.S. release date or stateside pricing just yet.
