Geil launched three new DDR4 RAM kits that will become a core part of its Super Luce RGB Sync product lineup. These new kits joining the Super Luce RGB Sync lineup are the fastest kits introduced in that series to date. Like all other members of Geil's Super Luce RGB Sync family, these new RAM kits come equipped with RGB LED lights. The RAM features support for several RGB LED technologies including Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and Asrock Polychrome Sync, which will allow you to synchronize the RAM's RGB LEDs with your motherboard and other RGB LEDs in your system.
Each DDR4 RAM stick comes equipped with heat spreaders to help keep the memory from overheating. The heat spreaders are also designed to contrast against the RGB LEDs to improve the RAM's aesthetics. These heat spreaders come in one of two colors, you have the choice of either a matte metallic black color or a sleek white finish.
The three new RAM kits all include two DIMMs, each of which have a capacity of 8GB, giving the new RAM kits a total capacity of 16GB. The best of these RAM kits operates at 4,133MHz and it has timings of 19-19-19-39 and it requires 1.4V. The second new RAM kit takes a sizable step down in terms of performance, as it's clock speed drops to 3,600MHz. The timings are better on the second kit, sitting at 16-18-18-36, but they aren't significantly improved over the faster 4,133MHz kit. The last new kit Geil introduced today is a bit slower than the second kit, as it has a clock speed of 3,200MHz. This last kit also has timings of 14-14-14-34, which is markedly better than the other two. It's also worth noting that the 3,200MHz kit is also the only one of these three RAM kits that Geil recommends for use on an AMD system. Both the 3,600MHz and 3,200MHz kits are also more energy efficient than the 4,133MHz kit, as they just require 1.35V of power to operate.
The chart displayed here shows the full range of specs and options available in Geil's Super Luce RGB Sync product lines. These new RAM kits are expected to be available starting today, but there aren't currently showing up from major online retailers, and there is no word on their expected price.
