G71 Taped Out?
The Inquirer reports today that they have received word that NVIDIA's next flagship G71 GPU has just taped out at the Fab. Rumored to have 32 pipelines, NVIDIA's first 90u enthusiast GPU should be able to operate at incredibly high frequencies which will both (hopefully) amount to exceptional performance. With ATI's new X1900XTX dominating the vast majority of benchmarks, NVIDIA fans will be hoping for a delivery date sooner than later.
WE HAVE confirmation that Nvidia has now taped out its G71 chip. It is up and running and according to our sources Nvidia is on schedule.
The only problem is that we're unsure what the real schedule is.
