Fortnite Hits The Gridiron With NFL Jersey Skins, Gear And Emotes

If you're a fan of both the National Football League and Fortnite (and who isn't), Epic Games has a treat in store for you this week. The company has announced a partnership with the NFL that will see all 32-team uniforms available to Fortnite players starting Friday, November 9th at 7pm EST.

The outfits will be available directly from the Fortnite Item Shop, and in addition to the official NFL teams, there will be a separate "unique" Fortnite team outfit as well. You'll be able to pick a player number from 1 through 99, allowing you to have some semblance to your favorite gridiron bruiser. You'll be able to purchase and customize up to eight outfits.

But the team outfits aren't the only thing that will be available; football-themed harvesting tools, gliders and emotes will also be at your disposal. If you want to "blow the whistle" and blow a few games while you're at it, you can even don a referee uniform.

"We see the popularity of Fortnite every day at the NFL as many of our players are passionate about this game," said Brian Rolapp, Chief Media and Business Officer for the NFL. "This partnership represents a great opportunity for millions of NFL fans who are Fortnite players to express their fandom inside the game while at the same time exposing our brand to countless others."

We should also note that jerseys will be tailored to either male or female characters and each time you load up a game you'll be able to change your player number.

Earlier this year, Epic Games offered another big-brand crossover to Fortnite players – for a limited time – with its mashup with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To celebrate the release of The Avengers: Infinity War, players were able to play as Thanos and scour the map looking for all six Infinity Stones in order to bring destruction to all.
