EA Isn't Currently Developing Titles for Nintendo's Wii U Console
"We have no games in development for the Wii U currently," EA spokeman Jeff Brown told Kotaku. Brown wouldn't go so far as to say EA is finished making games for the Wii U forever, but the lack of interest certainly has to be alarming for Nintendo and for Wii U fans pulling for the console to survive and thrive once Microsoft and Sony come out with their own updated gaming boxes later this year.

Why the change of heart? The way Brown tells it, EA's early barrage of Wii U titles, which included Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Madden, and FIFA, was a matter of EA fulfilling its E3 2011 partnership with Nintendo. Now here we are staring at titles like Battlefield 4 and new versions of Madden and FIFA, none of which are slated for the Wii U. It's especially disappointing for football fans. EA holds exclusive rights to publish NFL games, so if Madden doesn't make a debut on the Wii U, NFL fans are SOL.
