AMD's New Catalyst 12.4 Extends the High End Love to Windows XP
Improved XP support isn't the only thing Catalyst 12.4 brings to the table. The new drivers also introduce texture filtering quality improvements, Level of Detail (LOD) image quality enhancements when enabling Super Sample Anti-Aliasing and Adaptive-Aliasing, and "significant performance enhancements" with Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA).
Outside of performance tweaks, AMD managed to resolve an assortment of issues. You should no longer see flickering square corruption in Skyrim in Windows 7, for example, and the Catalyst Control Center now renders correctly when launched while playing a Blu-ray disc using WinDVD in Windows Vista.
