Accuweather App Update Replaces Smartphone Lock Screens

If your idea of a rip-roaring good time involves swapping weather forecasts with friends on Facebook, Google+, or practically any social platform, then boy-oh-boy are you in luck. The relatively new (and recently updated) AccuWeather app for Android takes talking about the weather to a whole new level. So, what's new in the 2.1.6 update?

The biggest change is that the AccuWeather widget now appears on the lock screen, so if you live and breathe the weather, you'll always have quick access to the forecast. Whether or not you can trust the forecast, well, that's another question entirely.

Translated maps is the other feature update that comes to version 2.1.6. Speaking of which, the developers infused the app with interactive Google Maps and radar/satellite images.
