Motorola's Droid Bionic Brings qHD Display And LTE To Verizon For $300
Motorola and Verizon Wireless jointly announced today that the Droid Bionic will be made available on September 8th, and it will be the first Verizon Wireless smartphone to combine 4G LTE with a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 4.3" qHD high-res display.
The phone is also introducing ZumoCast, an application that lets customers bring their digital world of videos, music, pictures and documents stored on their computers to their handset via remote access. Furthermore, it'll support a Webtop laptop-dock accessory ($300!), much like the Atrix on AT&T. The Bionic will ship with a Mobile Hotspot feature, Android 2.3.4, Gorilla Glass, a front-facing chat camera, HDMI out, support for wireless printing, 32GB of memory (16GB storage + 16GB microSD), and support for wireless charging.
Like some of VZW's other high-end phones, this will also run $299.99 on a 2-year contract. The real question is in the battery life: will this one deplete itself rapidly when using LTE as the Thunderbolt does, or have things improved?
