Gigabyte Unloads With G1.Sniper 2 Gaming Motherboard

Gaming motherboard? Oh, yeah. Gigabyte's got you covered, and if this promo picture is any indication of what this silicon packs... well, let's just say you should probably suit up before ordering. The G1.Sniper 2 is all set for Intel Z68-based war, ready to handle the latest Intel i7 Sandy Bridge CPU and including Bigfoot Networks' G1-Killer network technology -- stuff that'll smooth out jitter and ensure you don't get sniped while lagging.

There's even a dedicated Sound Blaster X-Fi 20K2 onboard, as well as 2-way CrossFireX and SLI support, PCI Express Gen. 3 support, a built-in front audio headphone amplifier, military-styled heatpipe/heatsinks, and switchable graphics tech with LucidLogix Virtu GPU virtualization. Gigabyte also throws in their TouchBIOS, but what they aren't throwing out is a price. Start saving, we suspect you'll need quite a few pennies.

Just gotta say that is one mean 'n green looking board. Pretty sure that it may do really well for those with the bucks yep 400.00 for a mainboard is not really going to improve my gaming skills since i pretty much schtink and will still have just as much fun getting killed on a 150.00 mobo. Still gotta love all this powerful eye- candy on this beautiful and well marketed Gigaybyte board

oh  heck ! >> I'll admit it ! Surprise

just as addicted to geek porn as the next guy.Smile

PDuh:
Are there actually PCI-E 3.0 VGA cards out right now?

That's a good question, and the answer is no, not yet. But having the capability ready to go when they ARE released is a great idea.
