Time Warner Cable Hits 10 Million ISP Customers

You may not love Time Warner Cable, and you may wish you had a couple of other ISP options, but the numbers are talking this week: TWC just signed up their ten millionth high-speed Internet user, which is certainly a milestone worth celebrating. The high-speed wars have been boiling for years now, and TWC is hardly the only nationwide player. That said, they are the go-to ISP in lots of areas without much competition, but DOCSIS 3.0 rollouts have almost definitely encouraged growth.

The news makes TWC the 3rd largest ISP in the U.S. in terms of the total number of residential and commercial broadband customers, but you can be sure that the others are on the hunt for more. Ten million down, ten million to go?
