MSI announced a new ultraportable notebook today. The new ultra-slim X600 is a 15.6-inch notebook that weighs 5.5 pounds and measures less than an inch thick at its widest point. The X600 features the Intel ULV CPU, which uses 1/6th the power of a regular mobile CPU. The X600 also comes with an MSI external optical drive for playing DVDs on the notebook’s HD LCD with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a supported resolution of 1366x768. The LCD combined with an ATI HD 4330 Graphics card delivers brilliant graphics and video. As the newest edition to the X-Slim family, the X600 also features a 320GB hard drive,... Read more...
MSI definitely didn't infringe on the iMac too much with its NetOn AP1900 all-in-one PC, but some might say the company's new X-Slim notebooks bear a strong (maybe too strong) resemblance to Apple's MacBook Air. Of course, we'd argue that the X340 and X600 both have a look of their own, but there's no doubt that some similarities exist. output, What's definitely different, however, is the processor, the color, the ports and of course, the operating system. Both computers are loaded with Intel's ultra-low voltage (ULV) architecture, and the X340 in particular includes a Centrino Mobile platform,... Read more...
Looks like ATi is gearing up to give NVIDIA a run for their money in the integrated video motherboard chipset space.  X600-like graphics on board; smells like it has HTPC all over it.  The Inq posted the skinny on this yesterday but I was too lazy to snap this up at the time... sincere apologies. Really...The next generation of chipsets will feature a new integrated core with four pixel pipelines and it should be relatively close to the X600 performance. It might end up a little bit slower due to slower memory performance from the integrated memory, but it should be in that range. This... Read more...
Hey folks, we have a few video card reviews for you tonight. In addition to the ones listed below, make sure to check out Robert's review of the MSI GeForce NX6800GT-T2D256E. Goodnight! HIS X850XT IceQII Platinum Edition and X850XT IceQII Turbo AGP @ Rage3D "Both the X850XT-PE and X850XT come with respectable bundles. The only difference between the bundles are the X850XT comes with a CD that contains HIS' iTurbo utility and a DVD containing bonus software and games. The X850XT-PE doesn't need the iTurbo software so that's not included, but for some reason it also doesn't include the bonus... Read more...
Good evening everyone :) The New England Patriots have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21. Like most people, I'd have to say I was extremely impressed with the way Terrell Owens played. I expected him out by the end of the first half. The euphoric feeling that a home team victory gives you is starting to wear off now, so I'll unload some more tech news. Included in the post tonight, is a review for ABIT's RX600 Pro-Guru, the TriGem KLOSS KL-I915A SFF PC, and a few other items. Well folks, read on and enjoy! ABIT RX600 Pro-Guru @ Viper Lair "If you are looking to build a HTPC on the PCIe... Read more...

If you are looking to add a TV tuner card to your computer, there are a broad range of choices currently available, ranging from economical solutions to high-end cards that offer more advanced capabilities.  However, if you are looking for a TV/Video card combination, there are fewer choices, namely NVIDIA's Personal Cinema, S3's OmniChrome and the more popular All-In-Wonder series from ATI. The All-In-Wonder series has been around for a very long time, with ATI pioneering the concept well over a decade ago.  What was initially a novelty to some has evolved into a strong product line... Last I heard, we might get some snow tomorrow, so be safe and have yourself a Merry Christmas! Samsung SCX 4100 Multifunction Printer @ GideonTech.com "I've always been wary of multifunction printers as they provide a lot of options but none are all that great on it's own. Whether it be scanning or printing an image, it used to be better to just buy separate devices and hooking them up. With SCX4100 from Samsung, things may just... Read more...
Earlier today I was shopping on E-Bay for a budget card for my friend... 9500 Pros going for around $70! I don't know, I was going to get my next card(6800 GT) from retail, probably Newegg, but E-Bay is just to good to pass up. Yeah, yeah... scammers all around and Pay-Pal can be a big hassle, but I've had some good experience from E-Bay so I'll take my chances again. Well, I'm going to play some HL2:DM after this, and then hit the sack, so let's get on with the news...
