We figured it would only be a matter of time before this happened, and now that touch panels are really taking off, Albatron is looking to take advantage of a huge market opportunity. Today, the only (easy) way to enjoy a touch experience is to totally upgrade your machine; you either have to buy a new touch-ready all-in-one PC, a new touch-ready notebook or a new touch-ready LCD. Is the Tablet PC really ready to make a comeback? With Apple's rumored tablet inching closer to reality each and every day, we've got yet another entrant vying for attention. According to a new article in the Straits Times, a Singapore start-up company by the name of Fusion Garage has teamed up with TechCrunch's own Michael Arrington in order to produce the world's next tablet--or, at least the next one that anyone will bother to care about.The device will purportedly be called the CrunchPad, and according to the report, it boasts a 12" display and weighs 1.2kg. Like the Eee PC netbooks that preceded it, the Eee Top ET1602 is built around Intel's low-power Atom platform, with the 945 GSE chipset. Other features include an integrated webcam and 802.11n Wi-Fi, 4W speakers with SRS Premium Sound enhancement, and a flash memory card reader.
