Earlier this week, a Sprint executive said the company would offer cloud services for all sizes of businesses. Sprint’s cloud service is expected to be available in the fourth quarter. As part of these cloud offerings, Paget Alves, head of Sprint business markets, said the company will sell its network infrastructure as a service available on demand. The wireless carrier will also offer software, security applications, and Internet hosting. Currently, Verizon Wireless and AT&T offer similar services. Starting today, Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab will be Sprint ID-enabled. An over-the-air software update for the two devices will roll out this week that will give Epic 4G and Galaxy Tab users the Sprint ID functionality, which lets you download "a complete mobile experience" known as an ID pack. These ID packs include apps, widgets, ringtones, wallpapers, shortcuts, and more. The update will also upgrade the Samsung Epic 4G to Android 2.2 (Froyo).
