WD has added to its SMB storage server line with the WD Sentinel RX4100, a 1U rack-mount server designed for ease of installation and setup as well as affordability. The server joins the Sentinel DX4000 in WD’s lineup. The Sentinel RX4100 is available in capacities of 16TB (4 x 4TB), 12TB (4 x 3TB), or 8TB (4 x 2TB) with 4GB of DDR3-800 SODIMM RAM. HP announced a new lineup of inexpensive devices aimed at the SMB market, including 6 new HP ProBook 400 Series and HP 200 Series notebooks. The laptops are designed to offer solid performance at a low price point with business-friendly features such as reliable print solutions and physical durability. There aren’t yet detailed specifications available, but the notebooks will feature Intel and AMD chips, most likely of the Haswell and APU variety, respectively. This has to be one of the coolest homemade YouTube videos I've ever seen. Ever wondered what the final climatic battle in Super Mario Brothers 3 would look like if filmed in first person and rendered on modern PC hardware? Honestly, neither had I. Thankfully, Freddiew, the video's creator, had more imagination than I do. It took more than 50 days of rendering to produce this video, but the result is stunning. Evernote has proven itself as a popular and useful cloud-based note-taking tool; if you’ve never used it, Evernote (available as an app on your favorite mobile OS) lets you write a note, snap a photo, or record audio and save it automatically to your device and also to a cloud storage account. Verizon Wireless and Intuit are making it easier for small businesses to accept credit card payments using smartphones or tablets with the introduction of Intuit’s GoPayment app and pocket-sized credit card reader. The card reader plugs into the audio jack of supported smartphones and tablets. You can then swipe a credit or debit card through the reader or enter information manually into the app. GoPayment supports select Android, BlackBerry, and iOS devices. While cyber attacks on large business often make the headlines of tech publications, security company, McAfee wanted to know if smaller businesses were any less susceptible to cyber security breaches as a result of their smaller size.
