The third ad in Microsoft's massive ad campaign designed to enhance the image of the company and Windows has hit the web. If you remember, the first ad featured Jerry Seinfeld stumbling upon Bill Gates shopping in a Shoe Circus store for some discount shoes. The second ad also featured Bill and Jerry, but this time as houseguests trying to connect with an ordinary family.The first couple of ads didn't resonate well with the general populace, however, and Seinfeld has been nixed--at least for now... 23-year-old Kelly Gray was just hoping to defray some of the costs of her wedding when she decided to auction off a bridesmaid spot in her wedding on eBay. But she got far more than she bargained for.When the bidding closed at 7:27 p.m. on Wednesday, the winning bid was $5,700. The winner: "drpeppersnapple".Gray and her fiance had planned to keep the wedding budget under $7,000 by using an iPod, instead of a DJ and baking their own wedding cake. As expected, the Bluetooth SIG has chosen to piggyback on the Intel-backed WiMedia version of ultrawideband technology. Crafting the necessary specifications will take time, however. Bluetooth SIG members said they now expect the standard to be complete by the first quarter of 2007, with prototypes due by that fall. The first Bluetooth-over-WiMedia products are expected by early 2008, Michael Foley, chairman of the SIG, told reporters in a teleconference Tuesday morning.... Read more...
