Logitech and its recently-hired chief design officer are overhauling its brand, the company announced today. Over the years, Logitech built its name on PC mice and keyboards, then expanded to produce a wide range of tech accessories. AMD launched a new suite of HD 7000 SKUs today aimed at the midrange and value mobile markets, but these aren't the 28nm, Southern Islands GPUs that consumers have been watching for. These new HD 7400M, 7500M, and 7600M parts are rebranded 40nm hardware. The "new" chips are all based on AMD's HD 6000 "Northern Islands" GPU, which means they incorporate the improved tessellation performance of that chip (possibly combined with UDVD 3.0). Rumor has it that Intel will rebrand its processor line, beginning in January.  There is quite a bit of data, but it is still a rumor.At the moment, the Intel Centrino mobile platform has five different logos with brands like Centrino, Centrino Duo and Centrino Pro. Starting from January 1, 2008, Intel will consolidate the Centrino Duo and Centrino brands under the Intel Centrino brand, and rename the Centrino Pro as Intel Centrino with vPro Technology.
