When you work at Google, you can do amazing things. And those amazing things don't stop at work. They clearly bleed over to home. One particular Google engineer has showcased photos his LAN-party optimized home, and as he calls it, it's "specifically designed to be ideal for PC gaming parties. It's also designed for living, of course, but all houses have that." It's equipped with 12 fold-out computers, built by a cabinet maker to specs the homeowner specified. Sweden's PiratePartiet (Pirate Party) has secured a win for the European Parliament in yesterday's Swedish European Parliament Elections, becoming - at least in this election - Sweden's 4th biggest party.According to official sources, the Pirate Party secured 7.1% of votes and elected to the European Parliament Christian Engstrom to voice the concerns of filesharers and throughout Europe. Thanks to the Swedish authority's enforcement of a court mandate and shutting down the Pirate Bay, the attempt at restricting the activity of filesharing has backfired and provided a soapbox of sorts for the Party.The... Microsoft has created a blog dedicated to Windows 7, the upcoming (in 2010, according to Microsoft) successor to Windows Vista. For those of us that have been wondering when we might start seeing 3rd party applications (not hacks) available for our spiffy new iPhones, the answer is likely to be sometime next year at the very earliest.The delay is initially due to Apple taking a stance against allowing any modification of the iPhone, including non-Apple software.  Apple has quietly dropped that position, one announced by Steve Jobs at the iPhone's unveiling, and now Mr. Jobs is even going on to say that the an iPhone SDK is due in February:“It will take until February to release an SDK because we’re trying to do two... While they are still not known as a tier 1 player in the motherboard market, on par with the likes of MSI, Asus, or Gigabyte, DFI is a still a highly regarded name in many circles. DFI is one of the few companies in the market which are genuinely in tune with what overclockers and enthusiasts are interested in. The crew at Xbit labs have posted an interesting review of the DFI LANParty UT ICFX3200-T2R/G motherboard. What makes this article a bit more intriguing that some other mobo reviews, is that the ICF3200-T2R/G is based on ATI's (now AMD's) RD600 chipset.
