HTC may best be known as a smartphone maker, but recently, they've been branching out in a major way. Just days after rumors flared that HTC had purchased MOG, the music streaming service, in comes official news that the Taiwan-based company has partnered with Intertrust. As you will recall, Microsoft and Yahoo announced an agreement back in July to team up in hopes of improving their competitive position against Google. Now that the deal has been unconditionally cleared by the U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission, the partnership is one step closer to reality. Some news just came across the wire regarding a strategic partnership being formed between NVIDIA and a company called MotionDSP.  If you're unfamiliar with MotionDSP, the company has created custom software that decodes video files, extracts large amounts of data from dozens of video frames, filters the video using custom algorithms, and then re-constructs a new video which combines all the new data and enhanced frames.  The end result is a final video that is of much higher quality and of higher resolution than the original, that shows more detail with less video... DigiTimes reports that Asustek and C-Media have formed a strategic partnership which will have the motherboard vendor using C-Media's audio IC chipsets from 2007. C-Media's Dolby/Digital Theater System (DTS) audio IC solutions will be used on motherboards with some variants being solely available to Asustek.
