Good news, gamers! Electronic Arts has decided to donate The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection to anyone and everyone in need of a game to play. That's right -- the title is completely free, provided you claim your copy by July 31, 2014 at 10AM PDT. As you probably guessed, you have to claim and download the game through your Origin account. For some, that requirement is no big deal, but if you're turned off by EA's Origin service, this could be a... Read more...

It's a tossup between Linux and Mac as to which is the red-headed stepchild of computer gaming, though things are improving on both platforms. EA’s Origin is meant to be a one-stop shop for gaming: so long as you have a Windows PC, you can shop for games and play them via the Origin platform. (Think Steam.) Only a few thousand U.S. and U.K. users will be able to download Origin for Mac initially. For now, Mac support is in Alpha, and it’s incomplete. There is no store, for example, but the tab is there and Origin expects to make that live by the official launch. That’s true... Read more...
