Perhaps best known for its Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers, QNAP recently introduced a new network appliance that combines a set-top player with a NAS server. The new NMP-1000 Network Multimedia Player's internal hard drive and software can catalog digital pictures, videos, music, and other content from computers on the home network. The player can also play those files back in the home theater using the included remote control. The NMP-1000 has HDMI, component, composite, and S-Video interfaces.
