Competition is heating up between select retailers and Apple Pay. Earlier this week, Rite Aid took steps to shut down support for Apple and Google’s digital wallets. While the pharmacy chain was not an official Apple Pay partner, consumers were able to use the payment system with existing NFC payment terminals until a short while ago. But now, CVS is following suit. CVS sent an email to its stores saying that NFC support is supposed to be turned off and that the company will not accept Apple Pay. Mobile payments. At this point, even in the U.S., they aren't anything new. The concept is here, and it's not going away any time soon. With Isis, Google Wallet, PayPass, Square, etc. all out in the market place, it's just a matter of time before that credit card gets worn out less and less. One little interesting bit we have is a review of Thermaltake's 5.25" bay "Xpeaker"... these guys think of everything ;) Thermaltake Xpeaker Panel @ Mikhailtech "The drivers are too small and too weak to reproduce any low frequencies, so the result is a slight boost in sound levels. As for distortion, there really is none since it never reaches levels where it would be noticeable. In short, these are quiet speakers.
