There are plenty of Sprint customers who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their hot new HTC EVO 4G LTE smartphone. Unfortunately due to a U.S. Customs review of shipments, customers are left waiting without a firm date as to when they'll get their phones. Although Sprint and HTC can't do a lot at the moment, HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval of the shipment. Sales of the new phone are being held up because of a required customs review after HTC was on the losing end of a patent dispute with Apple last year. Sprint today confirmed that the HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone will be available on May 18 (a week from this Friday) for $200 with a new line of service or eligible upgrade and of course a two-year service agreement. That's good news for those who already placed a pre-order but had no idea when the thing would ship.
