Last week, Futuremark released the latest version of 3DMark.  We've taken the new benchmark for a spin using CPUs from Intel and AMD as well as GPUs from AMD and NVIDIA. The new version, dubbed 3DMark 11 (in reference to its level of DirectX support, not the upcoming year) includes a fresh set of tests, a game demo sequence, and measures CPU performance rather differently than its predecessor, 3DMark Vantage. 3DMark 11: Now with additional oceanic encrustations. We have just posted a new article here at HotHardware featuring the Zalman Z-Machine GT1000 case, which Zalman labels a "High End Gaming Enclosure."  This case is made from aluminum, but it bucks the lightweight trend of typical aluminum cases due to it being constructed of metal that is 4-5mm thick.  In addition to its high quality, thick aluminum construction, the GT1000 offers plenty of cooling and innovative tool-less installation options.The GT1000 comes in two different colors: titanium and black. As enthusiasts, we're always looking for the next great design in computer cases. We're eager to see companies innovate in various areas of design, including cooling, tool-less installation, and style. When we see a new case hit the market, we often hope that it is made of aluminum, includes quiet 120mm or larger fans, and is easy to work in.
