Electronic Arts may still be smarting from its less-than-stellar launch of SimCity, but the videogame giant has more tricks up its sleeve. It’ll be looking for a win with Fuse, the long-awaited FPS that has you fighting your way through a mess of baddies with a team of elite fighters. The game is expected to be available May 28 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A look at the action in Fuse. But SanDisk, the second largest seller of MP3 players in the world is out with their new, powerful, cheap and tiny player, and it's going to be a... be successful. Model... Read more...
At a speech given to the FT World Communications Conference, Google's VP of European operations Nikesh Arora predicted that the ever increasing storage capacity of devices like the iPod is going to allow you to carry around enormous amounts of media. Maybe all the video or audio there is. That's a lot. Arora said, by 2012, iPods could launch at similar prices to those on sale now and yet be capable of holding a whole year's worth of video releases. Around 10 years down the line that could be expanded, creating iPods that can hold all the... Read more...
What's a software release without a few bugs/quirks? The recently released 3DMark 06 from Futuremark can give some misleading numbers under certain circumstances. "A X1600XT card supports Shader model 3.0 while the latter cannot do HDR or Shader model 3.0 and this significantly... Read more...
