In the notebook world, we see a lot of change. Ultraportables have become hip, and netbooks changed the category forever. But on the desktop side, change comes a lot slower. The "beige box PC" reigned for what felt like a decade, and for some time, Alienware was just about the only major company doing unique cases. But even now, with loads of custom case makers, the design is generally the same: a rectangle, with a few nooks and crannies to differentiate.
