It’s been reported that the hot new Motorola ATRIX 4G smartphone has been hit by slow data speeds. As some owners have discovered, the upload speeds on the ATRIX 4G when using the phone’s HSUPA radio is slower than one would expect. Now, AT&T is admitting to some of the data slowdowns, though it is doing so in a roundabout sort of way. Are we seeing the next big (or even small) trend in mobile technology? Motorola recently shook up the space with their Atrix 4G, an AT&T smartphone that did something that no other smartphone had done before. Rather than shipping by its lonesome, the Atrix 4G shipped with an optional docking station, which is really a brain-less netbook shell. Pop the Atrix 4G into the dock slot, and suddenly you've got an Android-powered computer. What's funny is that this is history repeating itself all over again, but the timing may be better now. Motorola has made big claims for its upcoming Atrix 4G smartphone, calling it the world's most powerful smartphone. Indeed, the Atrix 4G has impressive specs, but many have expected that power to come at a price. Now that pricing details have leaked for the Atrix 4G, you may be pleasantly surprised or you may be disappointed, depending on what you were expecting to see from this smartphone.
