Is there room in the world for another app store? App stores seem to be emerging at a record pace these days. On the smartphone, there's the Android Market, Apple App Store, BlackBerry App World and a few others from LG, etc. Even Apple is introducing a Mac App Store in their next major OS revision, and Intel's AppUp netbook market will soon deliver apps to smaller, less powerful machines. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl has been one of the most anticipated games out there since its announcement years ago. Facing constant delays to the point where some didn't expect the game to ever be released, the game appears to still be on track for a release early next year. A major reason for the delay stems from fact that the developers wanted to create a non scripted, completely random world. Dreams turned to reality as they realized such a feat was not possible, so they opted to blend the two worlds together, which should still make for an interesting game.... Read more...
AGP was supposed to fade away after the insurgence of PCI Express, wasn't it? Well yes, it was and it will in time, but as we're showing you today you can still breathe some new life into an aging AGP based system, thanks to NVIDIA. While PCI Express is the current interface of choice for new graphics products, the existing installed base of AGP equipped systems is huge.
