There's been so much chatter regarding an Amazon smartphone that we're more inclined to think it's a matter of "when" and not "if" the mega online retailer will release one. The latest buzz coming from "people familiar with the plans" is that Amazon's handset will feature a 3D display that doesn't require any special glasses. It will use retinal-tracking technology so that images on the smartphone appear to hover above the display no matter which angle you're holding the device. If you're in the market for a new gaming notebook, Toshiba hopes you'll consider it's Qosmio X870, a 17-inch laptop with a Full HD 3D display and plenty of pixel pushing power to do the latest games justice, or at least we imagine that will be the case. Detailed specs are sparse at this point, though Toshiba did reveal a handful of general info. The Qosmio will run the "latest Intel processors," which would be Sandy Bridge (or Ivy Bridge, if Toshiba waits long enough to release this thing).
