We can certainly understand the fear of leaving negative feedback for a seller, and having it backfire when a seller retaliates for no good reason. But doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of feedback?

I, and everyone I know, does not give positive or neutral feedback to the seller because we are afraid of retaliatory feedback. Better to give nothing at all and preserve our 100%. A lot of people are like this... so this change will help us. But for sellers who truly need to leave bad feedback, this sucks. |

I am so sick of paying promptly, or even instantly, and then getting an e-mail from the seller telling me that if I leave positive feedback for them FIRST then they will leave positive feedback for me (quid pro quo). What the heck? I just paid for the item and fullfilled my obligation and now the seller wants to hold me hostage for positive feedback? To me, this is great news!
