Wolfenstein 3D Comes To Xbox Live/PS Network

Say what you will, but Wolfenstein 3D is back in full force, in a way that Duke Nukem only wishes he could be. Just months after the heralded first-person shooter made its way onto Apple's App Store, the classic title is now destined to waste even more time when it comes to Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Activision Publishing and id Software will be bringing the "legendary" title over to those two platforms on June 3rd (that's Wednesday!), and even though graphics have advanced a wee bit since its development, the ESRB is still rating this heavily pixelated game M for Mature. The release is being used to hype up the next new iteration in the franchise, which will simply be titled "Wolfenstein" and will hit shelves on August 4th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Pricing details remain unknown, but suffice to say, you'll be getting it if you already nabbed the iPod touch/iPhone version.

I always thought it was cool the way your characters picture degraded as his health did. Eventually he was a bloody mess when your health was just about out. been along time since I saw an FPS with a score on the screen, could have been a coin op in an arcade too.

I recall seeing a Doom arcade game but only in the movie Gross Point Blanke..
