If you’ve been chomping at the bit to check out Valve
’s many updates to its Steam Community
, the time has come. Valve announced that the beta is over and that the new Steam
Community is now open to everyone, and it’s “focused on finding and sharing the best community content”, so says the press release.
The updates include Game Hub, which is largely comprised of user-generated content; an update to Groups functionality; a tiled space for all your own user-generated content to be displayed; and a Facebook-like friend activity feed.
Valve is also supposed to release some long-awaited non-gaming software titles today, too, which should be interesting.
