Unu Android Tablet Hopes To Be Your Entertainment Hub For $200

You may have missed it if you blinked, but the tablet space is quickly becoming intensely saturated. Whereas the slate sector used to have but a few solid options, now consumers have a plethora of choices -- from the iPad to Android-based tablets to those running Windows 8. In order to set itself apart from the masses, the newly introduced Unu tablet is describing itself as an "entertainment hub." It's also keenly aware that consumers are paying attention to price, so it's offering the slate at just $200.

Up for pre-order today and shipping in November, the Unu Media Edition comes with a TV docking station and an air mouse controller with keyboard, while the Gaming Edition adds an advanced game controller supporting tens of thousands of video games for $249.99. The device itself is a 7" slate running Android 4.2, and it relies on a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and promises skip-free 1080p playback. Unu is produced by Sunflex, and while it's a name many in the U.S. probably aren't familiar with, that may not be the case for much longer.
