Toshiba Introduces Three New Ultrabooks

Toshiba unveiled three new ultrabooks: the Satellite U845W, Satellite U845 and Portégé Z935 Series. According to Toshiba, the Satellite U845W is the world’s first ultrabook with a 21:9 cinematic display. This ultrabook features a 14.4-inch diagonal ultrawide-HD TruBrite display along with a 3rd generation Intel Core processor, 500GB hard drive with 32GB solid state drive or 256GB solid state drive options, and up to 8GB DDR3 memory. The Satellite U845W will be available for purchase on July 15 starting at $999.99.

The Satellite U845 is Toshiba’s first mainstream ultrabook, featuring a thin and lightweight design for as little as $750. This ultrabook offers a 14-inch diagonal HD TruBrite display, 3rd generation Intel Core processor, 500GB hard drive with 16GB or 32GB solid state drive, and up to 6GB DDR3 memory. The Satellite U845 will be available for purchase on June 24.

The Portégé Z935 Series is an update to the successful Z835 Series. This next generation ultrabook now offers 3rd generation Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The Portégé Z935 features a slim 0.63-inch (15.9 mm) profile and weighs less than 2.5 pounds. Other key features include a battery life rating of 8 hours and a solid state drive. The Portégé Z935 will be available for purchase on June 24 starting at $899.99.

New models include the Satellite U845W, the world’s first Ultrabook offering a 21:9 cinematic display, and the Satellite U845, an affordably-priced everyday Ultrabook. The new Satellite U series joins Toshiba’s successful Portégé® Z series Ultrabook, which will now offer new 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors.
