Thermaltake Announces Monstrous Toughpower XT 1275W Platinum Snow Edition PSU
The Snow Edition unit is a nearly all-white PSU, including the fan blades, which comprise the 14cm dual-ball bearing fan with three fan modes (Fanless; Silent; and Cooling). You don't have worry yourself over which mode is appropriate, Thermaltake says its Smart Fan Control system automatically detects the ambient temperature of the PSU and adjusts the fan mode and speed accordingly.
According to the spec sheet, Thermaltake's newest PSU offers more than good looks. It's rated at a whopping 1,257W, more than enough for even dream machine worthy builds, and is 80 Plus Platinum certified to boot, which means it boasts 89-94 percent efficiency at 20-100 percent loads.
Thermaltake went with a dual +12V rail design, with 45A diverted to 12V1 and 65A allocated to 12V2. Other features include eight PCI-E connectors for support for up to 4-way Crossfire and Nvidia SLI, 105C solid state Japanese capacitors, and modular cabling with a boatload of connectors at your disposal.
