I'm a lucky man it seems. I was able to get away with just 'trusting' all of my kids and they've turned out just fine. Whew! |
|
I'm with you, realneil. $30 a month? I'll just take the stupid cell phone away from them if I can't trust them. |
|
Yeah, realneil I am with you. I was watching the first bit of Leno tonight and Bill Cosby was on. He said that unluckily when he was a kid they didn't have things like ADD and or time outs etc. I personally as a father think much of this stuff today is quite ridiculous. How is a kid ever suppose to learn anything as a parent is not going to be there to watch them and correct them nor bail them out there whole lives. I could see the point in the texting deactivated in the car thing but the rest of it nah. |

We as a parent have to trust our kids, like our parents trusted us. that is my 2 cents... |

LOL!!! When I first glanced at the title.... I thought they were trying to encorporate a stun gun into the cell phone as a function! I was thinking "OMG No! That's so dangerous! Why would they do that?! Some one is gonna tase their ear and get brain damage or something!" Luckily it turned out to be something far less foolish... yet still foolish. I was raised on good old fashioned parenting. My rents weren't all up in my business. They taught me right from wrong, and what I should and should not do. And here I am today, I turned out alright :-) I'm no troublemaker. |

I think this is a great way for them to make more money. Take the parenting away from parents and let a computer do the work for you. Sounds like something the psychiatrist ordered (i'm being sarcastic if you didn't notice.) |
