TXTBlocker allows parents, employers and others to safely end the dangerous habit of texting while driving. Cell phone owners simply log in to this site and customize settings to control when, where and how their cell phones can be used.
Use TXTBlocker's GPS technology to disable or limit cell phone functions in your own "safe zones" like schools or workplaces.
TXTBlocker works automatically, so you never have to remember to turn it on, and it allows for safety features so that phones can always make calls to 911 and send or receive calls with preset "safe list" numbers.

Not a bad idea, but I don't think I'd use this service myself. I'd rather not use this until my kids proved they couldn't be trusted to follow my rules. And, if they can't follow my rules, why not just take their phones away until they can? Preemptively using this service could give kids the idea that they can do anything you don't actively take action to prohibit. |

Why not have a proximity reader that disables texting when you phone is within 1.5 feet of the steering wheel? I mean I think this isn't necessary, your good sense should be sufficient. Don't want a $100 ticket? Don't text! |

This device would disable texting while in any moving vehicle (car, bus, train) whether you were driving it or not. Seems kinda dumb to me. |

Yet another good reason it's better to rely on the law and common sense. |

Lol, funny thing would be that people in the "safe" areas would also not be able to text...and since schools would be one of the safe areas, you'll have a lot of angry teenagers on your hands. |

I would make sure i would not buy a cell phone that has that crap installed. |
