"Because" Last paragraph |

Yea I agree totally you see lots if I-phones toting college kids on campus. I often wonder how much of it is a fad, and how many are actually really passionate about what the device is capable of. |

I use my iPhone for all the apps and HH! Lol |

Same here la_guy, iPhones are a hot commodity on campus. I usually sit in the back and I see 1 in 5 students has an iPhone out at any given time...usually during lecture. |

I think as in many cases widespread trends in society start with the mid/late teens to young adults. This just points more where we as a world society are going in the future. So I see this as nothing more than what many especially those in touch with technology already expected. This also points right at the current industry trends of higher mobility as well as more functionality on a mobile platform. The iPhone is just the most visible form of it, so it adheres to it for now. |

On a campus one would assume that all of the features would be available and working on them. That makes them much more desirable I think. But here in my little backwoods section of Northern Virginia, they don't work properly. (with all of the features) Many areas around here don't even HAVE service and the only carrier with decent service around here is Rip-Off Sprint. My daughter, who lives in the Cleveland area, doesn't like it here because her iPhone is all but useless in this area. I can see where cutting edge, kick-ass technology could be addicting,.......here I am in front of this computer again,.............. |

Wednesday, March 10, 1841: Survey Reveals Novel Addiction Rampant on College Campuses A reliable study performed at Keeble College, Oxford, has shewn that the Youth there have taken to the reading of Novels, despite their illicit Repute. The form, containing sundry Cheque-Boxes to be ticked off by the Respondant, asks such Enquiries as "Do you read Novels to the exclusion of serious Literature?" and encouraged repliess ranging from "Constantly" to "Most Often." One young Rake even admitted that he brought a Novel to bed, reading it by gas-light should it be available, a whale-oil lamp should it not be. Respondants were assured of their Anonymity to ensure honest replies; they were noted by the Researchers and later expelled from the dignified Institution, as is Proper.
