Sprint customers who have been waiting for Android 4.0 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus won't have to wait any longer. The phone is currently available for $199.99 with a two-year contract. As you may recall, the Galaxy Nexus features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED contour display, and dual cameras for video chat. Sprint's Galaxy Nexus is also among the first 4G LTE devices from the wireless carrier.
Even though the Galaxy Nexus supports 4G LTE, Sprint customers will have to wait a bit before they can use this connectivity. Sprint intends to offer 4G LTE service in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio by mid-year 2012.
Until May 22, Sprint Galaxy Nexus owners who activate Google Wallet on the phone within seven days of purchase will get a $10 credit added to their Google Wallet prepaid card. An additional $40 credit will also be added to the Google Wallet prepaid card within three weeks of activating Google Wallet.
