Sprint Express Smartphone Makes Android 2.3 Affordable

Recently at a Music-themed event in California, Google confessed that over 200 million Android devices had been activated. That's a heck of a number, but it makes a lot more sense when you think about just how many lower-end Android devices are out there. But low-end shouldn't necessarily have a negative vibe to it. Sprint has just launched the Express, a $19.99 Android smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.3 and a 2.6-inch capacitive touch display. There's also Sprint ID, a 3.2MP camera with flash and camcorder, 3G mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi and a 1500mAh battery.

Other specs include 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage, as well as a microSD expension slot. If you've been waiting for a cheap option to dive into the Android world, here's your sign.
