Competition is healthy between brands on the market but when it gets into the court, that's when it starts getting ridiculous and bad for the consumers. I hate hearing about all of the lawsuits flying all over the place. http://youtu.be/9TVz7MiFhAk |

7" tablets work fine. My wife's school just bought Amazon Tabs for kids and teachers to use. But I already have an iPad and will not be replacing it anytime soon. |

Truly, it will all come down to a persons needs. Most phones can do just about everything needed in that size. I think a larger one would be more useful for presentations and such and maybe one you can use as TV/Computer/Phone Combo, one in all! But keep in mind, the more that hit the market, usually the cheaper the prices |

Yeah realneil that is what I see is class room as a huge usage platform for these even corporate training etc. I told my wife a couple weeks back I think our daughter who starts Kindergarten in a couple of days at a Primary school K-2 will probably be using some kind of tablet by the time she gets to 3rd or at the most 5th grade and thereon throughout her education career.she adapted to the kindle fire automatically and uses it like a pro from the start to begin with. The thing is I would think is the cost savings in the end for school boards. Yes it will cost some money to implement but in the end will be a massive cost saver I would think. |

Rapid what you say about your daughter using a tablet in school by the third grade is absolutely right. I can only peculate as to why Steve Jobs condemned samsung for their 7 in tablet plans. Steve Jobs has alot of clout in the media community if he nay says something it can be bad news for the company developing it. Maybe it was because of the on going litigation with samsung and so Jobs would have been eager to shoot down any of their plans in the works,(Sounds just like him) or perhaps he was shouting down the market in attempt to hide his tracks and conversations to start his own 7 in tablet line. Back to the education thing, apple has always invested heavily in putting its technology in schools, raise a generation of mac heads or something. They can't compete with the low price of the 7 in tablet in schools. I believe that, more than anything, influenced them to move into the mid-range tablet market. |
