" the Roccat Achievements Display, or R.A.D, ... is an application that tracks and rewards a range of gaming feats, including mouse movement, button clicks, scroll steps, and more." For this reason alone, I will not buy this product. When a manufacturer wastes resources on something as useless and lame as the Roccat Achievements Display, inevitably they have pulled those resources from important product development needs, such as quality control, or well-made components. |

That's a bit over the top, IMO. I haven't played with the Savu, but I was pretty impressed with Roccat's Kone[+] mouse after spending some hands-on time with it. My early impression of Roccat based on that and their Isku gaming keyboard leads me to believe they'll do well in the U.S. market. |

Building a little competition into their products isn't so bad. Will this achievement data be collected and "shared" with the parent company or online? Will 'Stat-Tracking' use (a little or a lot of) system resources? I'd be more concerned with the build quality and how well it feels while hanging on to it, and how it works. |

I'm not sure about the achievement system being worthless for those who do a lot of pc gaming. If there are achievements for certain things, gamers might try to get achieve them and at the same time improve there gaming skills. For example if some one uses a high dpi setting for an achievement they will begin to develop muscle memory and get used to that high dpi so they will use less time aiming . (just a random thought) |
