RIM determined that approximately one thousand BlackBerry PlayBook tablets (16 GB) were shipped with an OS build that may result in the devices being unable to properly load software upon initial set-up.. The majority of the affected devices are still in the distribution channel and haven’t reached customers. RIM is working to replace the affected devices. In the small number of cases where a customer received a PlayBook that is unable to properly load software upon initial set-up, they can contact RIM for assistance.

>> So they recall something and don't tell us whats wrong From the reviews, I'd say what's wrong is the hardware design and the software design. |

^ Better call the fire department after that burn!!! That is bad news for RIM, not the kind of publicity they need right now. |

Glad to see they're working to get it fixed, but this is definitely not the publicity they need right now. I wish they could spend the time getting those calendar, email, contacts, and task apps out rather than collecting recalled units. |
