
As speculated, RIM released the long-anticipated update to its PlayBook tablet today. The new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is available as a free over the air update. With the update, you'll get a new integrated email client with a unified inbox, social integration with calendar and contacts, an updated BlackBerry Bridge app, the ability to manage corporate data with BlackBerry Balance, an improved keyboard, and much more. There are also lots of new apps being added to the BlackBerry App World today, including many Android apps. To help IT departments manage devices, RIM also released an initial version of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion for managing devices in an enterprise. RIM plans to offer a full release of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion that will offer mobile device management capabilities for iOS and Android devices in late March.
