Planar Announces 3D Vision Ready SA2311W Monitor
"The Planar SA2311W is a sleek, attractive desktop LCD monitor designed for 3D viewing, but this affordable widescreen display is ideal for 2D use as well," Planar says. "Whether you’re playing the latest 3D game or modeling complex biomolecules, the blazing fast 120Hz frame rate and 2 ms response time deliver crisp, clear images and blur—free video."
To take advantage of the 3D visuals, you'll need to bring your own 3D Vision Kit from Nvidia (not included) and a compatible graphics card. Once you're all set with the prerequisites, the SA2311W will offer up Full HD stereo with a 1920x1080 resolution, a 120Hz frame rate, height adjustable stand, and a 2ms response time.
The SA2311W will be available to order in December for $449.

Please enough with these garbage 1080 TN panels it doesnt matter if there 120hertz with such a low resolution. Wheres the 2560 x 1600 30" 120 hertz super IPS LED panels at? |

I'm not sure I'd call 1920x1080 on a 23-inch panel "low resolution". I would like to see higher resolutions too, but only on a much larger display (one where my eyes could still make out a pixel ). |

................S-1969 calls anything that's not as good as his spectacular screen 'garbage' and has been doing so all along. I'm not buying into 3-D tech because I don't want to get into the "Frenzy" as it's quoted in the OP. To me it's not worth it. But the 120Hz frame rate and 2ms response time is OK for me, a guy who can't afford to spend like others do. |

I'm personally tired of seeing 3D monitors with poor black levels. Come on people, when are you going to up the ante and give me a 2560x1440 with a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate with 2ms response time, we're in the freaking future here people. |

$449 is $100 more expensive than Asus' recent VG236H 3D monitor. I'd love to see the reviews for this thing. |
