I don't really see the point any hard drive should work in the modern macs and for memory as long as you get the right speed it should work. Bet they will cost more than PC centric products. |
A few years ago, I used 2-4GB Crucial RAM sticks in my iMac for around $215.00 shipped. (RAM was much more expensive then) Apple wanted $700.00 for their same capacity Nanya brand sticks. Then, I took my two old 2GB sticks that were in there and upgraded the Mac-Pro Laptop that one of my sons uses. And you are correct that a Mac will use any HDD or SSD that you install into it. |
