New Asus Smart PDA Phone With GPS, WiFi - P527

New Asus Smart PDA Phone With GPS, WiFi - P527

Asus is quickly making inroads here in the US with their line of highly integrated smart-phones.  A little birdie let this gem slip out to us today and it certainly looks sexy-sleek.  The P527 is a tri-band phone with integrated GPS and WiFi functionality, in addition to a new Asus feature dubbed "Travelog".

"Capture and Share Exciting Journeys with Travelog
The P527 can record and share users’ traveling pictures, routes, Points of Interests (POIs) and memo with the handy built-in Travelog feature. This handy function supports the Google Earth satellite maps format – allowing users to create a diary of events during their travels. With Travelog, users will be able to put together snapshots and other interesting tidbits of their travels onto their blogs – allowing them to share with others their memorable travels as they trek across from one key point to another along their journeys. "

We don't have an MSRP on this urban assualt communicator yet but we'll pass it along when we do.  We'll be taking a first hand look at the unit as well, in the near future, just for giggles.

Where can you get ASUS phones in the US? I've looked all over and can't seem to find the J502 that I want so badly. Only place I've seen any is on eBay occasionally.

They haven't officially been sold in the US. This phone, however, will be available everywhere and it will be sold "unlocked" for use with almost any provider.
