Netgear Offers New ProSafe Enterprise-Class Networking Gear

New gear? Check? New networking gear? Double check. New Netgear...networking gear? That's the stuff, and a whole host of it is being introduced this week. Catering somewhat to enterprise users with their latest releases, Netgear has just announced the new ProSafe Wireless N Access Point (WNAP320) and the NETGEAR ProSafe Dual Band Wireless N Access Point (WNDAP360). Both of these offer connectivity, performance and management for companies of all sizes, which is another way of saying that these are well-suited for prosumers as well as business owners.

These new ProSafe access points are ideal for first-time small company single installations or for widely scattered corporate network "edge" deployments. Reliability comes from both a lifetime warranty and sophisticated security features such as WPA and WPA2 encryption, multiple VLAN and VPN pass-through support, rogue access-point detection, and 802.1X authentication with RADIUS support. Both access points automatically integrate with NETGEAR's WC7500 series wireless controller hardware and WMS management software and systems, controlling management costs even when user and device counts increase. Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3afPOE), wireless bridging and repeating capabilities, and an "easy mount" frame with an unobtrusive smooth white cover make for simple setup on walls or ceilings.

The Netgear ProSafe Wireless-N Access Point (WNAP320) is available now worldwide price in the United States of $350, while the Netgear ProSafe Dual Band Wireless-N Access Point (WNDAP360) will be available later in the second quarter of 2011 at a price to be announced.
