I wonder who has the Metro trademark, and what it's being used for. |

The Metro trademark is apart of a German retailer, Metro AG. In Germany this group is bigger than Walmart. Guess they don't want problems with the launch in Germany. |
That's good info, thank you! That makes sense, but.. still, "Windows 8."? That's ridiculous. So if I want to use the desktop on Win8, I am in fact not using Win8 anymore, but something else? Sounds eh to me. |

Someone needs to tell the Metro Group about trademark co-existence, and tell Microsoft to stop being such wussies. There are literally thousands of companies and products using trademarks on Metro. Unless it causes customer confusion, you can use the same trademark.
